Colin Kay

1926-2008

Auckland Joggers Club Inc notes with sadness the death of its founder and Patron, Colin Kay.

Colin was one of the founding members of Auckland Joggers Club which started in 1962. His vision and commitment encouraged ordinary people to improve their health and fitness through jogging for health and well being.

Colin was also one of the founders of the famous ‘Round the Bays’ fun run which started in 1973, which continues as a very popular Auckland event to this day

Colin will be sadly missed particularly with respect to the time he spent talking to members, passing on his knowledge, his jokes, and his reminiscences of the early days of the club.

  WE DAR JOGGING ON SUNDAY WE WILL STAND ONE MINUTE BEFORE JOGGING TO PRAY FOR HIM.
